GRANT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT REMINDER

VOLUNTEER: WHY YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO THE SUCCESS OF THIS PROJECT
Each of you are an important part of this grant project! One of the reasons we won the grant money is because this project will be completed by our KPP community to improve our community. What does that mean? It means we aren't using the money to hire contractors, but rather we as a KPP community will come together and volunteer our time and labor to complete the project. All city money will go to materials and related expenses.
Even if you can join the efforts for only 30min, we need you!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!
We will take the next few months to complete this project in phases --- so we don't burn out, and so that it is attainable by the city's deadline for completion. Here are the 1st few dates set, but more will be determined and published:
July 28th: roll-off dumpster delivered
July 29th 7:30pm: 30min branch toss (see how much of the already cut branches we can get into the dumpster in 30min. There are a LOT ready to toss!)
July 31st 9am: Project area clean-up morning! Bring your shovels, work gloves, etc. We will be cleaning out the specific areas where the grant improvement projects will occur, including the front island and the area along the pool fence. Cleaning out is the 1st step! Removing all rock, old mulch, debris, weeds, and getting it leveled and ready for phase 2. *Santiago Breakfast Burritos & water & lemonade provided for volunteers. August 27th 9am: Tree Planting Day
